Suzanne Hopkins - Educational Psychologist

I trained as a Secondary School teacher and taught for several years before training as an Educational Psychologist (1999-2003). I have worked as part of a multidisciplinary support team in a variety of school and clinic settings in the UK, South Africa and Dubai.

My main areas of focus have been:

  • Assessing and supporting children and young people with educational, social and emotional challenges. 

  • Supporting and guiding parents of children and young people with SEMH needs.

  • Supporting school staff members in understanding and managing challenging behaviour in children and young people with complex needs.

I have special interests in:

  • Therapeutic work with children and young people with signs of anxiety and/or depression.

  • Systemic work supporting children and young people with Autism.

  • Trauma and bereavement counselling.
